The Gene of Doom

Our current course of raping the Earth of its species and dignity is right according to the second law of thermodynamics. In simple terms, this law indicates that entropy or randomness in a system increases with the use of energy.

At first glance, this seems the opposite of what we are doing.  We use energy to build things such as factories, monuments, and dwellings which are highly organized and not random. But this line of logic represents less than half the equation. The other larger half is what we leave behind from our activities such as the destruction of forests, the creation of wastelands from mining operations, and in general the obliteration of other species' habitats.

Although we create an organization, we also destroy it the sum of which is a net increase in entropy or haphazardness. For example, with every house we build, we create more chaos elsewhere on the planet.

We were born to do what we are doing to the Earth. It is as if we have a gene bent on creating doom.  In the end, we are but a tool of nature for the upsurge of arbitrariness in the universe.
