Hassan Rasheed is a graduate of the University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon, USA.  He has a Master’s degree in Biology and Information Management.  His work experience includes an adjunct professor of software engineering at Linfield College, A systems analyst at the Boeing company and the Peace Corps.
Hassan comes from a long lineage of artists.  His grandparents on his father’s side of his family were musicians where his grandfather Hassan Ahmed Rasheed wrote “The Death of Anthony” which was the first opera to came out of the middle east and his grandmother Bahiga Mahmoud Sidki who wrote several books on Egyptian folk lore music.  Hassan also has cousins who were and are authors of history, poetry, prose and stage plays.
Hassan is married to Karen and will celebrate their marriage of 52 years in the fall of 2022.  They currently live a quiet life in Eugene, Oregon where he has written for the most part nonfiction books on biology.  The following are some if his books:
